I've been using the .177 pellets but I know some pellet guns allow for .177 bbs to be used as well. Has anyone tried? Is it forbidden?

Sure you can if you want to ruin your rifled barrel. BTW where is that gun made in? On Pyramid Q&A : Someone mentioned Taiwan while Tyler (Patner?) replied JAPAN.

The guns that are designed to shoot both BBs and pellets are usually smooth bore (not rifled).
I would not use BBs in a pellet gun - they are not the same size, will not be accurate and will damage the rifling on your M17.

Thanks. That's what I thought but couldn't see whether the barrel was rifled.

That looks to be a very nice copy of The real thing and good to hear Tyler (Patner?) was correct in answering JAPAN. Hope that other poster who answered Taiwan doesn't work for PA.
