I have a Vortex scope I bought for one of my centerfire rifles and thought I could change out the rings from the weaver style I have to a dove style to fit on a Air rifle .
yes, centerfire scopes are made to resist recoil, I do not see any springer recoiling more than a donno .308 centerfire or even a .22
The only Vortex scope I know is rated for springers is the 4-12x40 AO Diamondback. I emailed that question to Vortex, and that was the answer. I think the warranty covers you in any case.

There are different recoils going on in a magnum springer than just the backwards recoil of a .308. Most centerfire scopes can’t hold up to the forward recoil. There have been many articles about it over the years Tom Gaylord over at Pyramid Air has done some videos and articles on it. Good info to understand. I’m sure Joe Rea has a few videos on his YouTube about it too, Cyclops Videos.
