Can One Size 25 Cal RBT To 224 Cal RBT

As I have stopped casting slugs for my awesome 224 cal barrel, I can’t seem to find a half decent replacement barrel in 22 cal.

I have a 224 cal ( 5.68 mm) sizer and I am also determined to shoot RBT slugs from now on, I was wondering if one could size .25 to .224 say in two stages. Not sure if the new 224 cal RBT slugs would be perfect.

I also thought of sizing .22 cal up to .224 cal , this might be harder.

I would appreciate some advice here.

The features of the bullets will be wiped, edges will have "finning", could make the bullet off centre.

If you have the dies, try it and see. It may work or may not.

I only have 1 x final sizer, I will have to have a in between size machined. 


Not sure if .237 is the correct in between size?

That seems like a long way to go, to me. I sized down a .410 to .401 to try and see how it and it worked but it left a short skirt on the bottom of the slug. It was pretty tough getting it sized though.
