Can I convert impact mk2 to m3 with only lower receiver?

Saw a video this guy took the m3 apart. Looks to me everything is identical to the mk2 except the lower receiver which houses the dual reg and micro adjuster. I'm thinking, couldn't mk1 and mk2 owners just buy the lower receiver and convert their impact to m3? Seem simple to do. Anyone tried?

Different plenum too

The plenum doesn't matter. Mk1 mk2 m3 can all use the 720 plenum. I've seen mk2 owners installing the 720 plenum with no problem. What I wanted was the dual reg and easy adjustment on the micro which the mk2 can't be converted to cause the receiver block is different. So was thinking why not just replace the receiver block and bam, got a m3 without paying $2200.

The bare trigger block was over $600 a few years back.

Plus you will need to purchase the new 1st regulator

The number on the rear blocks are different so you probly will need it as well at near $200

Another gauge

Macro and Micro wheels and the parts that go with them.

And then the Plenum as it is quite a bit larger.

Can it be done probably is it worth it probly not to most of us anyway.

The rear block have a different part number cause it's for m3, so it will have different label/designed but still house the same plenum so wouldn't need to get a new rear block to convert. The rear block on the mk2 can also house the same 720 plenum.

What would need to be purchased would be

1. The 1st reg

2. Lower receiver/trigger block

3. A new guage.

4. Marco/micro adjustment, unless fx can make the trigger block with those already installed on it.

Never order a trigger block before but if what you said $600 just for that small block of aluminum is rip off imo lol. That cost more than a whole new pcp gun of another brand airgun. How is that tiny block cost more than a new pcp gun? Was expecting like $200-300max for the block, $20-30 for a new guage, $70-80 for the reg. Macro wheel/Micro adjustment $20-30.

Don’t forget to put a bottle valve in with your order. Oh, and the trigger is different with my M3 compared to my M2. Not sure if those components are compatible across platforms. So you might have to add that to your order as well.

Yes will need the bottle valve to use on the m3 1st reg. But I checked and that only cost $3.33. Won't break the bank. As for the trigger, I look at the video they took the m3 trigger assembly apart and looks just like the one on the mk2. So should fit, even if doesn't replaced trigger shouldnt break the bank. The expense part i see is the trigger block that house the 1st reg and mirco adjustment.

The MK2 trigger block is 339.00 € and the rear block 60.00 € @ europeairguns. I bought from that store all spare parts when I did my power upgrades last year.

A lot of precision machining to do for that money........

$339 sounds more reasonable vs what the other person claim $600. $600 is overkill for that trigger block.

The numbers bighun posted are in Euros

I've done it............was it worth it.........probably not (and I get my parts at cost). You can make a hybrid, but then you have neither a mk1/2 or 3....I don't know how that would affect resale.....Parts are more expensive than you think, new safety lever is required, spring holder etc...do you fit the new reloading block, cocking assembly?........

I checked into this several months ago when evaluating switching my .30 cal M3 to .177. I liked the idea of the 2nd reg to reduce the pressure differential on low power .177 tunes (50 - 70 bar). Could not find a .177 barrel kit so looked at upgrading my M2. Quickly decided it was not worth it, paid 139 Euros for a Huma dual stage tuning regulator for the M2 and sold the M3. Easy install, works great, and reasonable cost. It is bit of a pain to remove the bottle; not an issue as I have it on a long term deployment for pest control.
