Yes, I have bought spares. But 1st, do you have GCU1 or GCU2? The batteries are different.

Like these but there are many others. Look at the dimensions to make sure they'll fit. You'll have to cut the two larger diameter wires and tape off or shrink wrap them. DO NOT cut both at the same time with a wire cutter or your battery will short and catch fire. Only do one at a time... Ask me how I know! ;( 

You want a 11.1V mini LiPo battery pack with Mini Tamiya connector. This is for the newer Red Wolf with Gen2 GCU and 11.1vdc battery. I think the older RW had a 9vdc battery, not sure what type and size.

If you have GCU1, this is what I have used with no issues. Available from Tenergy (direct), amazon and ebay. I think I paid about $20 delivered.

I cut off the larger connector and taped the open wires to the battery. Perfect fit.

I don’t have a Red Wolf, but fly a lot r/c. You can go to a hobby shop in your area or look at Hobby king online. Just look at the specs on your battery and match accordingly. I doubt you can go up in size, for instance if it’s a 2000 ma to a 3000 ma, as the cells would be slightly bigger and may not fit into what looks like a tight fit already.

So based on cc picture, I can go buy one at the hobby store for about half price. And he said it probably has a little bit better performance. Very cool. Different brand than the one shown but same specs.

Yup, just make sure its not too long. Should be around 4 to 4 1/2 inches long and 3/4 to 4/5 inch wide/deep. And be careful when you cut and tape the larger power connectors. I have one spare for my Red Wolf HP and one for my Delta Wolf, plus the one I ruined when it caught on fire because I shorted the power leads when I cut both wires at the same time with a wire cutter... boy did I feel like a dumb ass...

Instead of cutting off the main power leads, the larger leads, you can open up the pack and desolder them. Then put some capton tape over to keep them isolated. This way you know for darn sure you wont get any shorts or anything. I do this same thing for my RC gliders to help save weight.

Just don't cross the leads or touch anything ... lol 



When you get the battery open you will see small tabs that those leads are soldered on to. Just remove the leads and use a snuffer to remove the extra solder. Just make sure not to get the battery to hot, as this will damage the battery. Use a large tip at high heat quickly. Then just tape down and cover things back up.

The reason I bought an extra battery was because I was having issues with charging and thought it was the battery. Turns out it was the charger. I did not even bother going to my Daystate dealer for a replacement charger. Got one on amazon for pretty cheap and it is much smaller and works well. Even though that battery last for 2000 shots, it is nice to have a back up to just swap.

I bought a couple of Tenergy's on Amazon for $18 each, shipped.... 3 cell(11.1v), 20C size, 1000 mAh. Don't remember the length, but the depth and width were 16mm x 16mm. These fit slightly snug without the oring. I also found 1 in a Paintball store for $23. They are used for RC stuff, also. The factory batteries are 800 mAh and slightly smaller in depth. I also picked up an equalizing charger($35) but found it will NOT work without the HP leads so had to keep a little stub on the batteries that I cover with shrink tube and just slip it off to hook up the equalizer. They are the same on the RW and DW.

The GCU 1 batteries are 2 cell, 7.4 v.
