Can FX chrony calculate a BC?

You should be able to measure muzzle velocity with the FX chrono with the first shot. Then move you FX Chrono downrange (do not exceed the distance of your Bluetooth range) and measure the pellet velocity at that point. As long as you are using the same pellet and same power behind it (reg settings, etc) -effectively the same muzzle velocity - you should get pretty close the right numbers.

Couple of things:

1. You need to position the FX chrono downrange within a few inches from and directly below the pellet''s path

2 . Do not shoot the FX chrono.(use a steel plate in front of it)

If you want to use your Shooting Chrony together with your FX chono for BC, shoot a couple of pellets with both the FX chrono and the Shooting Chrony setup in a way to measure muzzle velocity for the same shot. Note the difference between the two measurements of each unit. You can adjust the FX chrono +/- 2% to match the Shooting Chrony. Or just use the two numbers you got and do not forget to calculate that same difference once you setup one of them down range.

It maybe easier to setup the FX chrono downage a foot or two away from the target and 3-4 inches below the pellet path's facing the aimpoint. Use a steel plate or other physical barrier.

The wireless range is normally 10 meters (33 feet) for the FX chrono as far as Bluetooth, but the BLE module used in the FX chrono has the capability to work outdoors up to 100 meters. However, it does not seem to have an antenna that would allow such a range. .
