What is hunting to you. And where are you hunting. I keep my a few of my airguns on an empty chamber in a gun bag on my cart ready to dispatch critters on a acre lot. I walk around with my 12 pound 44” long Wolverine. Sometimes I think man this is heavy and long. It certainly is a good shooter and has kilt rabbits and pigeons. It is a favorite of mine. But I find myself grabbing my P-Rod for that! More often because of comfort to an old guy. I would like to try out some of the Bullpups but am a cheapo. But if you are a strapping young weightlifter a 12 pound rifle is small stuff. Just my 2 cents.
