Camo Dipped FX Wildcat

Got my FX Wildcat .25 back from camp dipper today. The pattern is Sitka Gear "Optifade Alpine". To quote Jim Carrey, "I like it a lot!"

I'll be putting a Belita Hugget on it next as soon as I receive and adaptor from DonnyFL (extended Shroud) and .25 end cap and baffle from Andrew Huggett. I have Matt's mag holder on this rifle as well.

By the way, I had I known an air tube clamp was available for this gun I wouldn't have installed that fore end sling post. The post is fine but the clamp on the air tube better centers the rifle's weight over my shoulder.

I don’t understand why FX doesn’t have a green stock option like Daystate? Black gets kinda boring.

Very nice! Does it have a clear coat to prevent chipping and damage?

I'm not sure about the protective coat. I've sent a note to the friend who had it done (popular bow manufacturer to see if they've already done it or if I need to.

I just checked. The manufacturer told me I shouldn't need a protective coat. They 10's of thousands of compound bows every year with no issues. If it does get chipped I'm to send it back for redipping.

Looks great, Roy! Does it effect the grippiness of the FX soft touch stock?

The stock does feel a bit more smooth than it did before dipping. I would suppose it is a bit less grippy but I like the feel better than before.

I like that pattern a lot... nice job Bowwild!! I have an extra stock for mine that I am gonna do a more traditional pattern like yours,didn’t really think the whole white thing trough....gets dirty easy and once the snow is gone it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Try slinging it muzzle down when carrying it.

I have a AW tactical I have been thinking about having dipped. I like the look of some patterns, Yet this variation of the AW isn't available any more. so......

I've been thinking about getting my bobcat stock dipped, just wonder how the airtube tunnel and side loovers will affect the process.

Do you have a link to the place you had it done? I searched the internet but came up empty. That patern would work great out here in south eastern Colorado. Both winterand somer the vegitation is kind of that pattern.

Looks like the would do a 1-piece rifle stock for $85. I don't see Optifade Subalpine but they have many other pretty nice camp patterns, especially the "Predator Patterns" to choose from.

Here's another company that does hydro dipping. If I had access to this pattern, that they offer, I would do it. This is KUIU Vias 2.

Looks like complete stock is $100 unless it has to be dipped twice.
