Calling all New England Shooters

By a show of posts I would like to know how many of you here are Honestly interested in shooting Field Target as the format is now. 20fpe, .22 caliber limit. I will be making presentations to at least two gun clubs about holding matches. One in Pembroke, the other in Bourne. I ask for your participation in this thread to show these clubs that there is interest enough for them to hold these matches. Feel free to ask any questions here in the thread. John Eroh

I live in the North Shore. I just got into the airgun hobby and don't know %@&# about Field Target. I'd be interested for sure, l love to try new things.

Would the limit be 20fpe?

Yes the limit is 20fpe or so, the targets can take 25fpe or so but not for long. Don't worry though, I have two extra setups, one for hunter class and another for wftf if you or any other shooter needs a rig to check it out. While I didn't make the Holbrook shoot this month I'll be there in January if you want to check out bench rest as well. 35fpe .22cal limit for that shoot. Have you had a chance to check out the haverhill offhand shoot on wed. nights yet? If you're a bit anxious I'd be more than happy to meet you there as well.

Hey John, Chas here. I'm definitely interested. Just got a .177 for just that purpose (and benchrest). So, yeah, count me in. I'll be a complete beginner, but learning is more than half the fun!! Bye the way, I'm in Hardwick, Ma.

Hey John. I grew up on the South Shore and have family on the Cape. I'd definitely make it to a match or two. I live in NC but would plan visits to see the family around your matches.

Thanks for responding. I'm still working on getting the club nearest me that can hold matches to do it. I'll be there next weekend shooting against .22 rimfires in an off hand match with my .177.
