error 3 means one of the sensors are not picking up the shot for whatever reason. I cant remember if error 3 is the front or rear sensor. I get that error if I dont shoot perfectly (within reason) over the sensors.

it's the back sensor that is not registering projectile.
Try moving it a bit so it's parallel with the barrel.

Had the same problem turned out it was dust on my sensors . Q tips in the sensor ports cleaning the clear sensor cover. Works like a champ again.
