Caldwell Chrono phone connection issues

Good Morning! So I purchased the Caldwell chronograph a few months ago and tried to connect it to my android phone with no luck. I just used it to verify a few shots so I wasn't worried about it. Well now I want to do some shot string counts and this thing is driving me nuts! Has anybody ran into this set up issue when trying to plug the chronograph into an android phone? Thanks for any insight.

I have 2 was able to connect using an old android my new phones no connection

I don’t have an Android, but mine will not connect to my iPhone any more. It stopped working last summer which was about a year or so after I got it. And no I didn’t shoot it. Would like to at times, but it wasn’t ever damaged. I just resort to paper and pen now to record my shot strings.

Turn on the sound. Allow sound in coming to the port. Mine did the same until turned it on.

When you say turn on the sound... I don't mean to be an idiot but as in just turn up the volume? or is this something in the settings?

In the Digital Link app that you use with Strelok there is a Settings spot that controls voice on or off and also time delay of announcement. Turn on chrony and then open DL app. Tap at 3 bars in upper left corner to access settings.

my case wouldnt let the connector seat deep enough to connecto correctly/completely.... got a diifferent cable.... works now

fwiw, I NEED a case. fone gets dropped at least once a day

the Caldwell app

Permissions

enable Microphone

Hey guys so here is the fix, I got some adapters and a new cable to connect to the "printer port" on the Caldwell unit. Plugged into my phone and bingo! Works perfectly. Caldwell should really step up their game and INCLUDE this cable with the unit.
