I have a 2240 and want to know the minimum temperature to use it outdoors. Looking for consistent shot count and velocity. Sunny and 55F didn't work so well.

C02 Question -- At What Temp Do You Take Yours Outdoors?

In winter the basement stays at about 62F and I get good shot counts and decent velocities. Outside, anything 60 and above is good. Especially if it's sunny and it warms the gun up. That's with a QB78 that uses two cartridges at a time.

I have to agree with Treefrog. If it's over 60 degrees you should be fine. That's been my experiance.

I don’t usually shoot my 2240 unless it’s over 65 degrees, just don’t care for performance at temps much lower. It was 85 today. That’s a great temp for CO2.

I like to shoot my Mac 1LD Pistol and 2240 at 70 degrees or warmer. Its okay in the 60's but seems much better when I hit the 70 area.

Don't know how my CO2 like it, but I prefer a temp between 70 and 80 to shoot outdoors without a jacket. As I get older I enjoy the warmer temps, however when it gets into the upper 80's I tend to get a little too warm. Springers I'll sometimes coat up and go shoot when it in the upper 50's or so. Sending a few pellets down range make most any day a good one.
