Buying a new PCP

Long time lurker but this is my first post. I have always loved firearms but for some reason I've always had a soft spot for pellet guns. I had all kinds of pumps and springers as a kid and am not new to the pcp genre. I currently have a Hatsan Flashpup in .22 that I've put around 4500 pellets through which I will be selling to fund my new upgrade. I graduate from college this spring and I'm looking to get myself something nice. The major things that aren't negotiable. It has too be a wooden stock as looks are quite important to me, has to be quiet, and of course, accurate. A large shot count never hurts. Weight, length, and magazine capacity are not very important to me. I am currently leaning towards the FX Crown II or FX dreamline classic. I'm not biased towards any specific brand but from what I've read FX are some of the best out to 100 yards and beyond. I'm currently leaning towards a .25 but I could certainly be convinced to go for a .22 or a .30 as I know some models are just better shooters in a specific caliber. I'm not very familiar with slugs as all guns I have owned have been choked barrels. Does anyone here have experience in buying used on the private market? Scares me a little to drop so much money with that kind of risk but I know it would save me money with which I could buy a better glass. I appreciate the time anyone took to read this and I will look through and consider all recommendations. (Any info on slug guns that fit this bill are also appreciated.)

Thanks!

I have the model that came right before the dreamline called the streamline. Actually have 2 of them. Great rifles and gorgeous in a walnut or laminate stock. Can’t go wrong with a crown either though. Lol. Never shot one but if the budget is there might as well go crown. Unless you specifically need 30 cal for some reason, at nearly 2X the cost as rimfire I would stick with 22 or 25. If you need 100 ft lb go with 22lr.

Buy used is not a bad option as long as you know the seller and can verify everything he tells you.
I've only bought 1 Gun Brand new and it was the worst buy I've ever made!
All the others were used and all of those were great Guns under new priceing and most had already been Modified or Tuned.
Last Gun I sold was a Will Piatt tuned .30 cal Evanix I got for $650 used!
That .30 took a ground hog at 90+ yards. 1 Shot DRT!
