With the exception of buying a collectable that has solid providence, I always buy new. Less hassle and headaches if things go sideways.

And, when repaired, you will probably have a better gun than new! Upgraded and better parts and pieces. Quality workmanship.

Buying new is the way to go.
Both buying and selling used guns left my with a bad taste in my mouth. The reason most people sell is because the gun they have, they are not happy with. If it was a great gun, they would be keeping it.
I bought a gun once during winter last year moded it out, and found it shot like crap when spring came. Rather than selling it, I just threw it away in the trash. I found it easier to trash it than deal with the guilt of selling a worthless gun to someone on the forum.
Buy guns new, buy quality, and buy to keep- is my advice.

I thought I share "the rest of the story" Got it back Friday, It's a completely gun. The bolt never seated in like this. It's something special to shoot. I chronied JSB's 34's 886-900 damned happy there. Took it to the range today with 34MKII, washed and lubed, also had wash weighed sorted and lubed. MK1, washed and lubed. At 50 yards all three just made one 1/2" +or- hole. Man this thing is an airhog!!! 3 mags per fill!. At 100 yards I use a 2" bright orange dot and put a blue splatter patch in the center. They, again were pretty close. The MK1s I could put a full mag in the circle, no big shakes I know. The other two had 1 or two fliers each 10 in. Most likely me. In the end I am pleased. Interesting how things can end in a twist. I was looking for a back up to my Crown...............

Glad you got it all sorted, sound like a nice rig now.
All the non factory parts on that ad scared me away.
On the " If it was a great gun, they would be keeping it ' I simply disagree esp. on the 7 different National championship rigs I have seen sold, they all just wanted something new. Sure the lefthand TX sat for a number of years between taking the nationals and being sold, as did the P70 and ... .
On the modern cheap master blaster firearm replacement model from unknown airgunners that are third hand and 6 mo old, might be good to shy away - unless face to face which is always best- . Personally well over 100 used airgun purchases and only one with hidden issues ( okay a couple did have an extra mark or two but did function correctly. Get out there and meet a hundred or two airgunners and just buy from people they know and folks who know them, many a grand deal to be had. And, high Quality ( as in excellent quality control ) need no warranty , just be sure they havent been tinkered with and save the money.
