I just watched a short video for the upcoming AirMaks Krait, the video concerns an add on , a magazine holder,

WHY?, Do people shoot naked, have you ever heard of pockets.

Why add that weight to the gun.

When I'm in the field hunting, my spare magazines are in a hunting jacket pocket. plus, for what I paid for those Brocock magazines, I'm not taking a chance of losing one out in the woods...lol.

I appreciate the design and engineering of the feature, but it is not something I look for. But I guess it's a nice to have if you like that and if you don't, ignore the feature.

They make those mag holders so you feel obligated to buy more mags to store in the holders. How would those holes look if they were empty?

I prefer having mags on the gun. Saves rolling around in my pockets, and possibly damaging pellets. It’s also faster for me to acquire than fiddling around in my pocket. To each their own I guess!

I like the mag holders, especially on the Taipans. It is simply a matter of convenience, for me. And, no, I do not need to have every space filled with a magazine.

They do have a function for those who find them useful and can look tacticool I keep my spare mag in my pellet pouch. I've been in high pesting environments and one ten shot mag has been plenty. I agree with @scotty1, it appeals to the operator in some airgunners. Unless you're being bummed rushed by a horde of pests, one mag is plenty.

I would think and have put magazines in my pocket (should store them in a plastic something) while pesting they could get lint in them (could cause issues)...so I do understand the holders plus more easily accessible but if bumped could drop one.

Spare mags attached to the gun make sense. No need to make sure you put spares in your pockets.

For me, the pellet gun is for pesting. I like to have everything attached to it, so that when my dog points out something, I can just grab it and go. i.e. no picking up this and that. 

That said, I rarely need more than one shot, so a magazine holder is more for when I get bored after pesting.

But make sure you still have enough to fill the slots on your tactical belt & chest rig

Only gun I've owned that had them was an Edgun, & I did like & use them. Not sure I'd buy an aftermarket holder unless it was cheap, easy to attach & very secured.

Have been taking my R5M out hunting for a while with the spare mags under the scope rail. I have lost more than a few mags when I thought I was dropping them in my pocket. As well as thr holes you didn't know you had in the pocket.



I think they are great and do serve a purpose. If you don't like them, don't use them. Lol

I have never taken an extra magazine in the field, I take a vitamin bottle with extra pellets and if I need I reload the mag after half a dozen shots

If I was going to battle then yes I would have a bunch of extra mags all over, on the gun, on my belt
