Hi

WARNING DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! They currently can be bought for around 30% off. I am sending these back to BUSHNELL with a letter to please exchange them for the NITRO 6-24x50s that appear to have clearer glass (I have one of them).

I might be done with BUSHNELL and I had been a BUSHNELL fanboy forever.

I would NOT BUY them even if they cleared them out for 1/4 their price (25 cents on the dollar).

They seemed to have discontinued the reasonably priced JAPAN TAC scopes and I bought a lot of them and they won't have any close focus Japanese scopes as direct replacements which I exclusively use for clicking for every shot since I don't click with my Chinese scopes. Personal preference.

NOW! Bushnell's $2000+ top of the line JAPAN scopes have 75 yard minimum focus! SEVENTY FIVE YARDS!

Their 10 yard focus $499 entry level competition 22 Benchrest scopes are rumored use the Bushnell Forge High end Chinese scope glass so for sure I'm never buying that one Even for half the price.

I Have several Chinese BUSHNELL Engage 6-24x50 that look pretty much up and up at low power but the Engage appears to be clearer than these Forge from 12x up to their 18x max. Can only imagine how much more crappy the 4.5-27x50 Forge are because they zoom past 18x and use the same crappy glass as these.

The Discovery VT3 and HD and ED are clearer according to MY EYES. Oops forgot the VTT TOO.

Another member had mentioned owning the same 3-18x BUSHNELL Forge Who thought it was a Really really really good super clear scope (AND!!! thats why I bought TWO!!!) and mentioned he was buying the $229 Alpha6 4.5-27x50 after reading how clear I thought they were. He's gonna be SUPER SUPER happy with the Alpha6 4.5-27x50 after he compares it to the Forge. AND I BET PRETTY PISSED TOO . Probably post the Forge on the classifieds right after that.

I would Probably be Ok buying these BUSHNELL Forge 3-18x50 scopes if they were on sale for $149 each based on what I compared them to strictly going by clarity of the glass since I don't click with Chinese scopes anyway. Personal preference and only click with Japanese and European and USA made scope turrets.

Nah probably would rather buy the Discovery 3-18x50 which goes down to 10 yards. The BUSHNELL FORGE has a 25 yard minimum focus.

This is not price dependant its about clarity.

This scope would be comparable in clarity.

YO!, Might have to disagree with you on this one, yes they are Chinese “probably same factory as some of the middle to upper athlon’s and yes when I bought the first 4-27x50 I was very disappointed to see made in China😠, bushnell let me down! But I have a Hawke ED and a athlon Midas tac and the forge glass is as clear or better plus eye box and fringe is better IMO! But still not as good as my sightron made in Japan S11 yes S11 6-24 “silver” best scope for the money I’ve ever owned! Except my weaver 36x fixed!

The Hawke ED has better glass no question!

I have Sightron SII 6-24x42 Front AO too from Philippines very nice too. So are the old front focus BUSHNELL Legend 5-15x40 AO Mildot also Filipino. The $299 on sale at SWFA JAPAN Bushnell TAC 5-15x40 AO Mildot is like these SII and old school front AO Bushnell Legend. New side focus versions really suck in comparison.

I just can't stand buying scopes that aren't as clear as many of the cheap Chinese scopes I have. I think it's even more nuts paying such high dollar amounts for scopes that aren't as clear as the cheapies especially coming from the same damn factory.

My s11 & weaver and Front focus obj. bushnell 5-15 tac are all from Japan! And quite honestly I believe the forge is basically the same scope as athlon Midas tac! if not the same scope except power factor? And yes I’m a sfp front obj focus scope guy! Old school...

You SHOULD really try the Aim sports Alpha6 4.5-27x50 its at least 3x clearer than both of the 3-18x50 BUSHNELL Forges I have YUP I side by sided 3 scopes the other same 3-18x50 Forge.

I am beginning to understand your crusade Yo and it is righteous. Must be the same reason you don’t like the Elements (except for the Japanese model right?). I can’t speak from experience except for the Bushnell Banner, some Leupold scopes, and Leapers. Otherwise, I am in the dark just being honest. I always like to judge for myself And get my hands on something before forming an opinion, but I understand that a lot of these scopes are originating in the same factories. Kind of crazy. At least we have you Yo to buy them for us and give us your mini reviews!

I still like Hawke scopes. They are great for airguns. Good reticles and focus down to 10 yards. Sorry scope snobs.

NEVER EVER Buy an AIM SPORTS ALPHA6 4.5-27x50 ($165-$299 depends who has them in stock YUP very interesting price differences vendors selling the same scope average $180-$250 paid recently) which also focuses down to 10 yards and is CLEARER than the Sidewinder 30s and would probably give your 100 yard shooting eyes less stress than your more expensive BUSHNELL FORGE 4.5-27x50 because the Alpha6 is clear and still bright all the way to its 27x max zoom.

Hawke needs people like you to stay in business!!!

Try not to push too much. Companies selling the same scopes under different brand label still have to make 2x-4x profit.

There are die hard fans who are still 100% loyal even when they know there are other different branded versions for half price.

We need them to keep the other 90% of ripoff companies to stay in business (OR NOT)

A bud had lots of grief with Athlon scopes from Argos to Midas TAC he clicks 😆 with unexplainable POI problems but was taken cared off 100% always got new swap out replacements. I think he just clicks too much that's all. He shoots a lot though! Probably watches too many of Joe's firestarter nipple twisters and likes to copy.

Hey! I should sell him 2 of my Bushnell Forge scopes since he doesn't own an Alpha6 yet! He doesn't know better about real clarity yet. Athlon diehard fanboy that guy!. Should I feel bad?

SO! ARE YOU SAYING THAT THE BUSHNELL FORGE (THAT I REALLY THINK HAS CRAPPY GLASS) IS CLEARER THAN THE ATHLON MIDAS TAC? WELL SHOULD BE THE FORGE IS WAY MORE EXPENSIVE!

THEN IF THE ALPHA6 IS 3X CLEARER (2X CLEARER FOR ALL THE NAY SAYERS THINKING I SUGAR COAT THINGS)THAN THE BUSHNELL FORGE THEN WHAT DOES IT COMPARE TO THE MIDAS TAC THEN?

I only have 2 non-Chinese scopes in my fleet. I have a Nikko Stirling Diamond FFP 6-24 on it’s way to me soon, but I don’t expect great glass for a $300 scope.

I have an older Centerpoint Power Class 8-32x56 currently on one of my RAWs and I have to say that the glass is quite good for a Chinese scope.

One I really wish would make it to the states is the Nikko Stirling Hornet ED 10-50. I’ve been waiting a while now. I may settle for the Falcon X50 which may be the same scope anyhow.
