After watching the glowing report on the Bushnell Forge by Joe R, I found a great deal on a SFP 4.5-27 at Natchez for $457. That's close to half price. After playing with it and looking through the optics, I can honestly say that Joe was right on the money with his evaluation. Carrying this a bit further, I have to add my own comments. The optics are really clear and I really like the reticle. It would be great for long distance works. But for an airgunner, it only focuses down to 25 yards. I can live with that since I wouldn't be using this for close up work. The things I found lacking was the magnification ring was marked at 15 yards and being a HFT shooter, it's gotta have calibrations at 12 and 16. Lastly, it doesn't range for s---t!. You couldn't tell whether the target was at 35 or 135 yards. It's a great scope for a centerfire rifle, but for an airgun? Nah!
