I got my 6-24 Bushnell Engage scope yesterday. and here are my thoughts on it. First of all, being a FT shooter, I always look at two features that may override many others that you test scopes on, and they are reticle and ranging. The reticle on the Engage is ok, but not my favorite. The best one I've used is the Hawke Sidewinder 30 20X 1/2 mildot. Secondly, it doesn't range very well. I can focus the sidewheel to where the image is clear, but there's way too much tolerance in here. This would never work for FT.
Clarity is great and better than the Aztec. The Aztec ranges fairly well. It's reticle is ok but too fine for my old eyes. Where targets are located in dark areas, I can't make out the reticle. An illuminated reticle would be a big plus for this scope. The Bushnell beats the Aztec quite a bit on clarity.
As far as POI shifts, I don't care. I usually leave the scope set at one magnification and zero it in at a given distance. I hardly ever change those.
Overall, the Bushnell scope would be great for general shooting and most airgunners would like it. It may not satisfy competition shooters, however.
Just my opinion.
