Bushnell Engage 4-16x44

I’m a bottom feeder when it comes to scopes. The nicest glass that I have had up to date is a Hawke SW 6.5-20x42. I wanted to step up my game and jump up in quality but I just couldn’t bring myself to put out the money. I’m a backyard plinker, not a hunter and not a competitor either so it was hard to justify more $$$.

I was spying the Bushnell Engage after Centercut posted about an Amazon deal recently. That was what got my attention so I started looking into them. I had added one to my Amazon cart and I kept shopping around and comparing similarly priced scopes. I kept coming back to the Engage.

Yesterday morning I was still searching for what I might want and I finalized my decision to buy the Engage. I went back to Amazon to think about it some more and guess what? The price had dropped nearly $45 dollars from that morning when I placed it in my cart. I had been on the phone with Amazon earlier that day about trouble I had been having returning an item with one of their sellers. As a compensation for my troubles they gave me a $10 credit. So now the scope was $55 dollars less expensive. I jumped on it and pressed the “ORDER” button. One day Prime delivery and here it is!!!

I am sooooo pleased with the clarity of this scope. Very clear, fine reticle. Adjustments are smooth but firm. Turrets have solid clicks. I have only been able to mount it and play with all the knobs. I still need to shoot with it. I’ll shoot after this post, I eat my dessert and the drizzle stops. I think this is my new favorite scope. I think it’s the perfect fit for my Wildcat.

Nice!!! I have two of them... Best scope for the money hands down.

Same here, I have the 4-16x44. Such a fine scope for the money, all the zoom and parallax knobs feel like butter, and the clicks are very positive with no slop. Glass is extremely bright too, found out that the reticle subtends at 16x in my case. Only dislike is that in low light the reticle appears busy and difficult to see since its so thin, apart from that I do like the reticle though. All around this scope is a win!! Really wish the 6-24 was in 1/4 moa and not 1/8 moa, although this will make it very nice for a target scope.
