Burst valve popped in the wrong direction!

Hello, this is a new one for me. I have a new air tank I purchased used from another member and the burst valve blew. Upon disassembly it very much seems that the burst valve did not burst at all but rather sucked in and burst inwards towards the tank. I had about 100 bar in the tank and it was left overnight in my vehicle.

Is this normal? Is there an implosion risk with this used tank!?!?

If the temp dropped well below zero and your car was outside, it could happen but that is really reaching.

I’m prolly wrong but to suck in wouldn’t pressure in tank had to of been lower than atmosphere

I suspect your burst disc was defective.

30 years dealing with SCBA tanks & I've NEVER heard of or seen that. Is it possible previous owner incorrectly installed the disc? I don't see how it's possible for disc to get sucked inwards! Please provide pictures.

I have been able to perform root cause analysis. The burst disc was improperly installed backwards it seems and the below-zero temperatures the tank experienced caused the issue. I have replaced the burst disc and there is no more issues. Thank you all for your replies and helpful input.
