Bullpups

I find the bullpups that have a rear mounted bolt action a bit cumbersome to use but are well balanced when they are back on the shoulder

I personally find pups more difficult to shoot in some situations. For instance, bench rested, where a rear bag is not permitted. I participate in a competition where that is the rule. I just prefer more traditional rifles. You probably won't know until you try one.

I have 2 bull pups & 3 long guns. I like the bullpups better, with 24" barrels and modulators they are still shorter then the longuns with 19" barrels and they handle better for me

they are easier to steady when shooting off-hand for me. You have a tendency to "tuck in" when shooting the gun making you more stable. I've done a couple of videos demonstrating this at 40 and 50 yards.

It's kinda strange for me. I find that shooting something with a relatively flat stock off a rest is a little easier for me as in the Marauder ... while shooting a Impact off a rest can be a little tedious shooting off that round bottle ... it seems like I have to be constantly watching for cant one way or the other and with the scope mounted as high as it is on the Impact it doesn't take much of a shift to throw that round an inch this way or that way. Man ... but when I got that Impact right where it needs to be and am really concentrating on trigger control, it is a tack driver. Probably the easiest one to shoot accurately is the Wildcat though. I have a bipod rail directly where it sits in the cradle which digs into the rest and has the effect of making the bottom seem a little more stable .. and when shooting off hand the Wildcat is a pure pleasure with the light weight, balance, accuracy and incredible trigger. I think my next gun will either be a new Edgun in .25 cal when they come out with the new model that has the loading lever half way down the rifle or a RAW ... one or the other!

Same here. I like bullpups most for hunting and off hand shooting. Not so great for shooting off a rest or bench IMHO.

I like bullpups. No difference off the bench, huge difference offhand. Bullpups feel much lighter and balance is way better. Only downside is getting used to a different kind of cheek weld.

I have both the guntlet .22 and bullboss. 25 cal, both guns shot well out of the box. But I'm a tinker and had to mod both guns. They both shoot super good now. Bullboss I added a huma reg. And tuned. Guntlet tuned trigger, raised reg. pressure added larger air bottle, hijamoto air stripper and moderator baffles. And Jefferson arms hammer adjustable kit.
I am interested in the new Diana bullpup, Sky hawk that's supposed to come out in June or July.

For shooting in the field I prefer bull-pups also the Bantam semi-bullpup works well and is a nice compromise if you want something a little longer.

Thanks everyone I’m leaning towards the FX wildcat I like the weight side lever cocking and trigger but I’m new at this so I will take any advice you have thanks again for all your help.

Methinks you'll be well pleased with the Wildcat as a first gun ... it's the only gun I have ever bought that was lights out accurate right out of the box.
