For someone new to PCP's, what should be their first bullpup? What should I stay away from?

Or a Cricket, or a Vulcan/Uragan, or a Taipan Veteran. Can't go wrong with any of them. The Eastern European guns seem more robust and durable than the Wildcat, but its still a very good gun...

I also agree, that is the first bullpup 22 and then a WC in25. The bullpup takes a little getting used to shooting with the action right below your cheek. But you can get used to it quickly it’s just different than the conventional,traditional gun. Good luck

Personally I think taipan, Uragan or cricket. I have a maverick(think wildcat bottle) and the Uragan compact has had less issues and is just as accurate at 35yards. No one has asked what your use and budget is?

Akela used or on sale with coupon is a solid value. I love mine, but also understand it does not quite fight in the same weight class as the others listed above. I'd recomend it as a great budget option though. It gives up little in quality.

The new bullpups are nice because they cycle in an ergonomic lever location. If you are not firm with wanting a bullpup, you may try a Dreamline bullpup. If you’re not 100% happy you can make it traditional, but have it go back to a bullpup when the situation necessities.

I'm unsure on budget as I tend to look at value. I already both the Marauder rifle and pistol coming, so perhaps I should get some trigger time behind those first. Plus I tend to modify and paint all my rifles, so that stimulus money is quickly gonna get burned through pretty fast.
There's a youtube channel I watch that does pest control in Florida (like iguanas and snakes!) and he uses an EDgun which look pretty wild. With a price to match!

Cricket II from Georgia Airguns. Charlie will set it up just as you want it and it will be tested so it will shoot great right out of the box.

I think the Uragan is a great introduction to shooting Pups,
having the grip closer to the bore then most Pups it takes away the top heavy feel that the majority of the Pups give you.

Not saying the aforementioned aren’t great considerations, as I’ve owned pretty much all of them.
I now only own an RTI Prophet Performance in .22.
So easy to service and maintain, Stevie Wonder could do it.

I have put down a deposit on the soon to be released Reximex* Throne gen2, on paper it offers a lot for the money
Sometimes a lesser known brand will offer good value, to begin with to up it's profile.
This may of course be wishful thinking in this instance, hence,
"On paper" " sometimes"
Maybe worth a look.
*Reximex = Kral like Lexus = Toyota.

To answer the budget question, its hard to jump from a $600 M-Rod to a $1500 rifle. And I do understand that one gets what they pay for.... to a point. Let me wet my beak a little. Who knows? That Uragan might be next!
