Benjamin Bulldog Pic Rail

I'd like to attach another rail on the stock right in front of the trigger guard. I use a tripod while hunting, and if I could put my Arca rail adapter on, it would be a lot more stable than the squeeze type saddle mount. Since the stock is a 2-piece clamshell, the plastic is too thin to hold screws in place. Any ideas?

Can the stock be easily removed? Why not mark the two holes and then remove the stock and drill through. Then use bolts with nuts/ washers on the inside ( if theres room). I have one of these kits 12.9 hardened socket head cap screws m3-m5. A variety of different lengths. Good to have for pcp's

You got a picture of what it looks like? The spot where you are trying to mount the picatinny rail

Yea, that's a bummer. Possibly drill 2 new holes in the picatinny that are offset from the center line, and only mount it to one side of the clamshell? Drill and counter sink the holes and use flat head bolts. Its hard to tell without feeling how it sits.

Dunno what sort of skills one needs to convert an FX stock to fit a Bulldog.

TerryE1- Yes you can put a rail on the for stock of the bulldog we have been doing this for a few years now. I keep the rails in stock along with the mounting hardware.
The rail will sit in the middle, and yes there is a seam in the stock but that will not matter for mounting. We use a 5 inch Mlock rail with t nuts to mount.
Placement is key to avoid interferring with any internal supports or stock screws. Give me a call will be happy to walk yo thru it.
Install time takes 20 minutes and you will not need to take halves apart completly.
I am finishing up a BD taurus client want to keep his original painted stock. I will post more photos tommorow showing install.
Ezana4ce, Alot of skill to modify the FX stock to make it work with bulldog innerds.

Apologize for delay in posting been busy in shop. Here is some pics for attaching 4.5 inch MLok low rail on bulldog stock using tnuts.
1. Align rail forward against sling stop and mark holes make sure hole is divided evenly on both halfs of stock.

2. Drill holes in stock making sure to evenly place holes in both halfs. This rail uses 4mm screws, drill holes to just clear screw threads.

3. Remove the 2 screws from stock the front and one in the forestock area.

4. place screws and t nuts in rail.

5. Insert first screw in to stock hole at front while seperating halves, then slide it backwards toward into rear mount hole.

6. Swing front of rail up and place screw into the front mont hole.

7. Re Install the stock screws and tighten, this will keep the t nuts from coming out. Then tighten the rail screws until the t nuts lock inside stock.
