Bullboss will not cock

Was out doing some shooting when the cocking lever began to feel a bit gritty causing rough cocking then suddenly when I released the safety the gun would fire. Now the rifle won’t cock at all. When I try to cock the rifle nothing happens the sear is not engaging it seems. This was all of a sudden after a shooting session cocking stopped operating. 

I did try to adjust the trigger thinking somehow one of the adjustments backed out and still didn’t work. No matter how much I adjust the screws still will not stay cocked. And I think I have a few pellets stuck in the barrel as well. When I was cocking the rifle to see what was going on I loaded a few rounds and nothing came out the barrel. 


 
Sounds like the sear engagement is broken or damaged. Don't know what else would cause the gun to fire when the safety was released. Now can you disassemble the gun to access the trigger and sear? . (Not familiar with your particular gun) Stuck pellets. I'd run some gun oil down the barrel and carefully try to push the pellets out with a cleaning rod. Should not be a problem because the gun wasn't fired.

The trigger adjustment can cause such problems. VERY temper mental when trying to set/understand how it works. First thing is you need to get the barrel free of any pellets. If it won't cock, it might take 2 people, 1 to hold the cocking handle back (bolt open) and a 2nd person to run a cleaning rod down the barrel until all the pellets are out. Then do a lot of reading and start tinkering with the trigger adjustments. The Quattro trigger is not one of my favorites.

Yeah I’m thinking something broke in there as well. I was shooting it then suddenly stopped working. Would not cock and started firing after I took the safety off. The safety had some resistance to it also when disengaging.

I had the same problem with my bullboss. It was the trigger being out of adjustment. Took a while to get dialed in. Look up videos on how to adjust the Quattro trigger

i don’t know it would be out of adjustment suddenly when it was firing and working prior

Mine was working fine too, for over a year then it wasn't.
