Picked up this 1990 RWS 48/52 in .22 recently. It’s my first RWS gun. It’s an absolute hammer and very accurate. Came with this bull barrel shroud on it, and all the searching I’ve done comes up empty. Is it factory? Aftermarket? Seems well-made, just curious about its origins. Any help is appreciated.
Good question. It's my first side lever gun and I confess I'm used to R9's, and PCP's, so have no idea what the stock barrel/receiver/stock config should look like. If it's aftermarket, it's a real clean job. Has attachment grub screws underneath. Can't find any pics online of similar RWS shrouds.
Bought it this April for $250. Owner was selling off his collection & didn’t know much about it, kind of a catch and release for him I think. Always wanted to try a side lever so this caught my eye. Thought the price was fair. Receiver is dated 12 90 .
