BUCK RAIL TRI BARREL BAND INSTALL(AKELA)

NEVER mind I got it, went back and tried again and it slid right on...



anyone have problems getting buck rails barrel band to slide over barrel, think I may of broken the grub screw that holds the piece tight that shroud screws onto.. it just spins now.
Ive tried pushing as hard as I can while twisting back and forth to get to slide on and it gets about 3 in onto shroud and gets stuck.. I even put some pure silicone inside shroud band to help it slide better..
Hope I dont have to sand out the inside to get to fit.
If theres a trick to this someone please tell me.

I'm sorry to say, but mine went on easier than that. I recall it was snug, but I removed the band's screws & gently flexed it a bit before installing. I don't think I sanded the inner surface of the barrel band. You likely already have, but I'd say at this point remove the shroud & bushing to inspect the grub screw. Per the parts list, it's an M3x3.

Didnt sand it just fiddled with it some more and it went right on.. after putting on scope rail support and the barrel band the shroud does not budge so not really worried about the grub screw at this time.
