Tuning BSF 55 disassembly help

I have a BSF model 55 I am trying to to strip and it has a scope/sight rail that is attached to the receiver tube with one screw and then I understand it's slotted into the receiver on the back end. I am not sure if the rail needs to be tapped to the front or rear of the receiver to get it off. I don't want to force it and damage it so any help appreciated!

Got it figured out, tapped trigger group out and rail fell off.

Can you be more pacific please.
I have recently purchased Wischo 55N and it needs attention to the internals but can't access due to having trouble removing trigger group and site rail. I don't have a clue to the removal of these parts and been unsuccessful in my attempts. Any help would be much appreciated!

If I recall, the scope rail will have to be removed before the trigger group will slide out.

I am stripping a BSF model 55 I just picked up. It has a scope rail with one screw on the front and I understand it's slotted like an hw85 type rail. Does anyone here know if once the screw is removed from the rail do you tap the rail forward or back to get it to pop out? I can't seem to...

Thank you gentlemen for the quick responses and to Joe with the lead to the UK airgunforum.

I finally was successful in the complete tear down of this model, woohoo! Now that its done I must say it is a rather simple airgun to tear down, biggest issue was not knowing proper procedure. Once inside I found a broken spring, with a bad double cant to itself along with an extreme case of dried up tar. Now it's time to order some new parts and a Lube tune.

This 55N is a beautiful rifle, much looking forward to shooting this gun!

For the record, you need to tap the scope rail a few mm to the rear on all BSF rifles, and then you can remove it from the cylinder and take out the trigger block.
