I tested one out only at 25 yards, and would recommend it. Shoots tight, nice magazine, doesn't protrude up or out like others, nice walnut stock, pretty light with small bottle, damn good looking.

I've got a BSA r10 elite and it's a very nice gun. The Minnelli stock is beautiful and is on par with daystate. The rifle itself shoots like a dream, pellet on pellet at 40 yards (haven't tried further). Mines a .177 by the way. If your in the UK you can buy an r10 and have it tuned and the shroud shortened which looks amazing and apparently after the tune, the rifle is unbelievably good! My advice would be to buy a second hand model and get it tuned, cheaper and even better performance.

I agree that the BSA R10 Mark I/II is the best looking 'bottle'gun (and I dont particularily like bottle guns) also the side loading mag, which BSA use on a number of guns, is The Ideal (esp. for those of us who use nightvision devices).

I pondered over buying a BSA R10 Centenary (Mark1 type) but left it too late, the shop had sold the gun the next day.

A friend and I ordered BSA R10' s on the same day. .177, and added larger bottles to them. Easy 75 shots or more. Accurate as all get out. Love JSB 10.3gr pellets.

I have a BSA R10 MK2 VC in 177, but sub 12 ft/lb here in the UK, shoots like a dream, very accurate and the silencer makes it quiet. again, excellent stock and a great looking gun ! It loves AA Diablo Field @8.4 gr and JSB heavies @ 10.34 gr.

I just got my new BSA R10 in the mail. Its a .177 cal , Im looking for a short range easy to use mountable open sights or a good scope thats fast on the focus and easy to use.. Suggestions...???
