BSA Makes Some Really Nice Barrels...

Here are 2 50 (maybe 55) yards 5 shots JSB 15.89g groups with my BSA Scorpion SE (stock):

Both were shot off the same magazine, and there was some light wind that probably caused the two hole theme here. If this kind of accuracy will continue, then I’m sure I’ll be able to get 3/8” groups or even 1/4” 5 shot groups in perfect conditions. I’ll also do some more 85 yard testing, though to really see what this gun can do I’ll have to upgrade to a higher magnification scope.

Thanks,

AK

My Gamo Coyote is very similar to the Scorpion. I had a few issues with consistency at first. After working with it for a while, it now shoots with almost pinpoint accuracy at 30+ yards. And yes, BSA makes some good barrels.

Out of the box, I was getting 40ish shots per fill in .22. It liked to 18.13 JSB the best. One of the short comings of the barrel on mine is, once the temp gets below 40 degrees Fahrenheit the pellets start to spiral bad past 35 yards. It may be better now since I added an Altaros regulator (no drilling the air cylinder) and fixed a few other issues. It now shoots 30+ Hades at 850 with incredible accuracy out to 50 yards. I have shot it out to 100 yards but not on paper past 50.
