BSA factory stock finish

Does anyone know what BSA uses as a stock finish on the R10se? A polyurathane or maybe an oil finish? I recently bought one and like the stock color, but it just seems a bit "flat", no pop to the wood. And it does have decent figure in the wood. I would like to work on it, but of course need to use the proper finish compatable with whatever BSA uses. I don't want to sand the stock, like I said the color is nice as is(at least to me). Thanks for any help.--------------Randy

I also have the R10 and love it.
I bought it new and also bought some walnut finish oil.
I think BSA put a finish coat or something and it looks beautiful!

However, after applying 5 coats of walnut finish oil, it did not change the finish. Nothing seemed to get past the BSA finish.
I also can stack pellets 25 to 75 yards with my R10!

I used Minwax Wipe On poly for something different, as I have used oil on severa pb's. I think it turned out pretty good with the "pop" I was looking for.. It has a sort of 3d effect thought I don't think that comes through very well in the pics. Here they are for you viewing pleasure....
