Brought the wolverine out to my Deer-stand last night just in case of Varmints!

Right at dusk this guy appeared in a cornfield about 110 yards off in the distance, across a draw that drops about 75 yards. The sun was at his back, foolish Panda.

I figured around shoulder height for my aim point, holdover was 8 inches. My thought was, if I was a little high I hit him in the head, a little low goes right through the heart. Instead I hit him right in the neck.

this is one of the original first generation Wolverines, when no one had ever even heard of a 30 caliber pellet. We call it the Mauser. The varmints don’t call it anything.

The only thing that’s open right now is bow hunting. The 303 wolverine was only in case of varmints.

I appreciate all the comments on the rifle. I was one of the first in the United States to actively test the 30 caliber pellet - with this rifle. even though it’s not regulated, I have shot many sub MOA groups at 100 yards with it.

Obviously I won both the wood lottery and the accuracy lottery with this one, which is why it’s still in my safe.
