I have a Winchester/Daisy 1000s that will not cock. I've sought advice on this forum, but none of the suggestions make sense to me. How to I properly dispose of this broken rifle?

Remove the stock, then wrap it securely and hand it in to your local police dept. I suggest that you telephone them first though just to be sure that they are happy for you to surrender the airgun to them in that manner. It may be that they prefer to uplift it from you.
