Brocock trigger adjustment

I just received my atomic XR. I don’t like how the trigger breaks in the middle and not further back. In the manual it says the first stage and second stage can be adjusted, as well as “trigger position”.. is this the one that will move the break point backwards or forward?

I’ve only adjusted the triggers on mine as per the manual. I believe the new trigger shoe and post are adjustable for position. Good choice on that Atomic XR. I love mine and shoot it almost every day.

Best I can tell from the manual, there is a grub screw that adjusts the first stage travel, but not the trigger position. This might allow enough reduction in first stage travel to give you what you want. But it's not going to change the point at which the sear is released.

thanks both, yes it appears the trigger physically cannot be moved rearward as the hole in the trigger guard must correspond with the one of the stage adjustments. so it looks like the take up or tension of the first stage and the weight of the second stage break can be adjusted, but none of this brings the sear release point closer to the hand, it will always break at the same spot.
