As requested some pictures of new rifle and now with scope mounted. NOTE: If you mount your scope low you may have to remove the rear most dovetail/picatinny mounting. I have a Hawke Sidewinder 4-16 and the Hawke low mounts. I had it all set but couldn't get the magazine in because I didn't have the scope far enough forward and just a little bit of the picatinny mount blocked a tiny portion of the access path for the magazine. I moved it just a bit forward. Everything is on the front picatinny rail. However the scope power adjustment ring was laying on the picatinny in the back. I took the picatinny off and it still was rubbing. Had to take the dovetail off also and now it works fine. Haven't heard that discussed so I have a picture included showing the dovetail sitting on the cheek plate after it was removed. UA checked with their tech and he recommended the low mounts for that Hawke scope. However I was not told I would probably have to remove the picatinny AND doveltail on the back of the rifle. Just a heads up that you have that option if necessary.
Got it a little bit close to zero in about 40 shots. When siting it in I used the same aim point without adjusting the turrets and it was almost pellet on pellet at 50 bench resting. The way I have set it up gives it a nice balance and it 'fits' me. The bolt did get easier to cycle in just those 40 shots and haven't received the lube for it yet. The magazines are wonderful. Nice to see a red dot roll around on the outside letting you know you are about to be empty. The adjustable cheek plate should be mandatory on all PCPs. It made it so much easier to get a good site picture. I also adjusted the butt pad. Nice to have that option as well.
Next I want to get it perfectly sited. Then I want to try setting the different power levels and measure it shooting through the chronograph. If I am bright enough I can pair the change of impact point when only changing the power level. I probably have 60-70 shots through it. Some dry fire and just basic feeling the trigger and all. It's coming real close to coming off the regulator.
