Brocock/BRK Brocock Saguaro .22 user experiences for 50y, 75y and 100y paper target distances

I am seeking some real life owner experiences with the Brocock Saguaro .22 caliber.

Would be very interested in results achieved with various pellet(s) testing, slug testing, and ideal tunes and distances shot for this platform. Would like to see pros/cons for the other Brocock rifles vs. this recent new addition.

Before I posted this question, I did do a search on “Brocock Saguaro” and only found one post from “airfuture” ( that you even responded to), and that was not helpful on the Saguaro.

No need to apologize ever. You’re a good man. You were partially right.

My main interest is in seeing how this gun does with distance target shooting from the bench.

And, for those users that DO own other BRK models, I was keenly interested in their comments relative to both the Saguaro and other models. I.e., pros and cons

Btw - You have a lot of BRK ‘experience.’ I would like your opinions on the Saguaro, even if you have not shot one. You can PM me if preferable.

The Saguaro is just an update to the Sniper and a very good one indeed. I would expect that it will shoot just as any other Brk rifle in the Sniper regulated series, ie Pathfinder, etc. These are fabulous rifles and I rate them as one of my all time favorites. I still have a Sniper HR that I bought used on here a long while back and it will hit whatever you put the crosshairs on. I was hoping BRK would up the power just a bit, not a ton, which seems exactly what they have done. I'll be looking to buy a Saguaro in the future, and can't wait.

LW barrel - Q. Do you think the MOA barrel can be an option on this platform, or is that only for a .30 cal barrel?

Sorry no experience here either but I will be following as I’m curious. Seems like the perfect update to the sniper XR to me. In all the research I have done the XR is an awesome platform. It just seemed a bit anemic in the power department which is what this new model seems to address. I own two daystate wolfs which I love. This being the same bloodline I’m sure will be spot on in the shootability and accuracy departments.

Absolutely my friend. I have no idea on the MOA bbl, all I know is the barrel on my HR is awesome and all I ever want. I had a Sniper magnum for a while and liked the poly bbl also, but mine is special to me, it's so accurate it's almost cheating.

Assuming the "power adjuster" is similar to that on the Sniper, it's a bit gimicky. It just restricts the air flow at the TP. It saves a bit of air, but isn't comparable to a proper lower power tuning. The trigger is very basic, and its adjustability can't compare to a more complex (and expensive) design. IMO it's a field trigger, and this should be a neat, compact hunting rifle, with very adequate power. The externally adjustable reg is a nice feature, but again, given what I see as a field rifle, once your tuning is done, it's done. I'm not throwing shade on what I see as a nice rifle, and probably a good value at its price point. If I compare it to a Daystate Revere, the Revere trigger is much better, which would sway me in that direction.

@bchannell, sums it up nicely... A tuned up in power update to the proven Sniper XR platform. Just unbox, mount scope and get to it… You can tinker and tune if you like. But they typically come ready to go… Good luck in your decision. Post up when you have a Saguaro in your hands…

As you know, we both have DS Reveres already. Yes, the trigger is heavenly on the Revere.

Wondering if BRK did any more work on their trigger enhancements, but do not know. If I can get this thing to 10-12 oz with a reasonable 1st and 2nd stage release, I'm good. I'm spoiled with most of my rifles being around 4-6 oz 2nd stage, but I can live with the above. I also hear you on the TP restricting air flow, but the fact that it can be adjusted externally would be a first for me. I like that a lot, and the power wheel ( like with the Royale ) would be for tweaking. All good.

Not a Saguaro… but he simply unboxed, scoped and proceeded to shoot some impressive 100 yard groups. The Sniper platform in all its iterations is a solid, solid PCP.

Funny, you must be reading my mind. I looked at this video and the other one that you posted below this morning.

Not yet ready to buy, as I am in early stage research mode. But, have always known/heard the Brococks are excellent AGs. I like what I’m hearing on this thread!

If/when I buy one, I will certainly post up.

As to the trigger, it is a good basic design that can easily be tuned fairly light ans certainly crisp. It is the faux 2 stage like a lot of airguns, which is not a bad thing, just a misnomer. Mine is less than a pound, likely far less, I've not measured it.

I see the power adjuster not as a tuning aid, but a quick change to lower velocity, as in a shot inside a barn, when the vast majority of shots will be at the full power tune. Lots of guns have a similar setup, but with a screw.

Of all the airguns I've owned, the Sniper is far and away the most reliable. I've read the Uragan is a tank, but the Sniper is a tank with a much simpler design. I've not known of anyone who doesn't like the Sniper, but it may not do what they want ie smaller, more powerful etc. They're just great guns.


I know it's cherry picked because the wind here is usually brutal, but this is a 100yd group with FX 18.1gr pellets fired with a 12x scope rested on the bed of my truck, no pads or bags, and these were the first 5 shots of the day after not shooting the gun for several days. I actually wanted the worst conditions to see what I could do. Not too shabby.
