Brocock Commander Magnum .25 Full Field Review/Hunt

Hey guys, I have had a beautiful 4 days in the field with the Brocock Commander HP .25 folding model. I spent some time testing both slugs and pellets and will say it shoots both very well. This gun is super tunable and was able to get the gun up to 60 fpe for some hunting. Despite the horrendous heat Marley and I were able to take down a few Jackrabbits. I hope some may enjoy the review along with some amazing scenery. 😂

Thanks for the review, presumably much of the tuneability and slug friendly qualities will be the same on the bantam sniper magnum?

Thanks, the bantam Sniper magnum is in fact just as tunable. I like the Commander model because when you fold the stock closed the port to adjust the hammer is open to be adjusted. The Bantam requires removal of the stock I believe. The Polygonal barrels shoot slugs exceptionally well, the key is to get them going up over 880+ from my experience.

I would be curious to hear about how much dirt or lead you pulled from the poly barrel when you cleaned it after shooting the day with the slugs.

There have been some people on the forums that mentioned faster leading and barrel problems were likely due to the way a poly barrel grips a slug, and i was interested to know if you saw that theory play out in real life.

I know when Claudio Flores was here a few weeks ago with me he said it's very important to clean these barrels often. I think many people are afraid to be intensive with cleaning Airgun barrels. I usually get in with a brush and some Ballistol and scrub it out good with a nylon brush, then run some patches through till squeaky clean. I cleaned the gun several times and never really found it to be overly leaded up. I think if a slug fits to tight it will foul up quicker, if they sized correctly it should not be a problem...clean,clean,clean!! 😊
