Brocock Barrel/Shroud swap

Hi all,

I have a a Brocock Bantam HR Magnum that is a sweet shooter, but the bolt is obnoxious and the stock is kind of so-so. I also wouldn’t mind something a little shorter for general usage. If I were to get a new Commander XR with the 17” barrel, would the 23” barrel and shroud from my Bantam HR magnum be able to swap onto the Commander XR? If so, I could have the shorter setup for general use, and be able to put on the longer barrel when I want to shoot longer range.

Anyone know if the barrels are interchangeable?

Thanks,

pg

Can't help with the barrel swap but this will fix your bolt problem. I turned the rear scope rail around on my HR magnum. It gives a good flat surface to place my thumb on when cocking. Combined with a nice form-fitting knob ALL that obnoxious stuff went away.

@shoot44 I put my thumb on the block of the gun, similar to you, for leverage. Flipping the rail is an excellent way to enhance this cocking manner. As the brits say, "Brilliant!" Long term, however, I will need to switch to a side lever; the arthritis in my hands is very minor at this point, but it is there and I am sure that won't get better with age.

@KatoKevin454 I emailed Brocock with my question re: swapping barrels. Hopefully they will let me know if it can be done. I may also ask Airguns of Arizona, as they seem to be very knowledgeable about Brocock airguns. Let me know if you find anything out, and I'll report back anything I hear.
