Brocock Bantam Huma Reg Recovery Time

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about slow recovery Time of the Huma regulator in my Brocock Bantam Sniper, I got better accuracy If I waited longer between shots and not so good accuracy if rapid firing. I increased reg pressure from 130 bar to 145 bar and no more issues. I am able to shoot gun as fast as I can aim with no effect at all with accuracy. Huma in Bantam likes higher reg pressure, I'm sure there are adjustments inside the regulator itself that will enable Sniper to do the same at lower reg settings. My gun is FAC so it likes higher pressure and is super accurate at 31 foot pounds.

Just paid for mine from AOA. .25 Opted to put DonnyFL on instead of Huggett. Interesting to hear what your experience has been. I've heard about 2 complaints...maybe 3. Pretty loud bark if you don't add a moderator. The bolt action is a little tough compared with some of the other rifles. The second stage on the trigger may not be as light as I like it. The carbon fiber bottle and the Huma are definite pluses. AOA said to expect about 70 shots on full power from a fill.

Where are you getting info about the various adjustments on the rifle?

I have owned several regulated and non regulated PCP's over the last 20+ years, My Theoben MFR .20 is adjusted in a similar manner, MFR is regulated , however regulator must be removed from action and set using regulator test tool, I purchased from Dr Bob. It's not that difficult if you know what you are doing, you can hear the shot report change as you adjust reg and hammer tension. Actually gets quieter with more power as you dial in and shot to shot velocity spread tightens up. Sounds muddy and wastes air if out of adjustment. Bolt will cycle easier as gun breaks in, just give it a little time. You can easily adjust trigger with a allen key, my Sniper came to me at almost three pound trigger, I have set to just under one pound. I also added a DonnyFL Tatsu and this really quieted shot report significantly. To make cocking a little easier as you increase hammer tension I made a larger bolt handle and this really helped. A side lever would have been nice but for $1299 the Sniper is alot of gun for the money.
