Brocock Bantam again

Lately my groups have been getting worse...again. The first time it was a bad magazine.
Last night while airing up I noticed an allen screw on the shroud near the block looked loose. This morning I located a very small allen wrench (less than 2 mm) and sure enough it was. I tightened it up, checked the other one that I could reach and then tried some shooting again. First several shots were low and left, re-zeroed the scope and my then groups were spot on again.
It seems strange that such a little thing could make a difference in accuracy but I can't dispute the end result. Only time will tell.

I'm tempted to tear the gun down and check every single screw in it. I love the look and feel of the gun, the ability to top off the magazine, the shot count. etc. But it's very disappointing that I should even have to consider tearing apart a 3 month old gun because of worries about quality control.

Thanks for the heads up. I've had my Bantam .177 for a while now and haven't run into any issues (it was bought new in Aug 2017, and I bought it used a couple months ago). One thing that is kinda strange is the apparent weakness of the barrel/shroud assembly. Very small diameter compared to my other air rifles. If I use the stock moderator, and zero the gun, when I take that off and put on the "heavier" DonnyFL Sumo, my POI drops about half an inch at 25 meters. I'm pretty sure its because it makes the barrel droop a very small amount... So I haven't been using my Sumo, and instead I've been using a very light TKO moderator I had originally bought for my DS Renegade. The stock moderator doesn't do much in the way of quieting, and the TKO does better, but its not Sumo quiet.
