BRK Ghost with slug barrel.

I shot my Ghost today with the 30cal SUB MOA barrel and 49.5gr. NSA slugs at 935fps. My scope is an Athlon 2.5X15 and I always leave it on 15X.
To say I was happy and impressed with the accuracy is an understatement. The wind was right to left at around 6-8 mph with higher gusts at times.
Here are the pictures of my target with 5 shots at 100yds. and 3 shots at 117yds. and my SUB MOA barrel on my Ghost. I didn't allow for the wind at 100yds. but I did try to shoot at 117yds. when the wind was not blowing. I was there to get my drop chart for my reticle at various yardages.

Those are great groups. I have been patiently waiting to see what groups look like from the various "slug" barrels that are now available and the SUBMOA is looking great!

Ideally I want to be able to consistently hit a 1.5" target out to 150 yards, then the coyotes are going to thin out when they poke around our yard.

Nice shooting, and wow, that barrel looks excellent. I was holding off on getting one, but dang, that looks nice! And it looks like it shoots just as nice.

Yes, the short-skirt ones shoot well ( JSB Exact Monster .22 Redesigned SHALLOW Skirt). My reg is at 160 (factory setting on mine), and the power wheel is on 5. I'm shooting 864 FPS with 42.2 FT-LB. Next week, I will start shooting the "ZAN Projectiles." AOA suggests I start with .217 25.5 gr Hollow Point slugs. I will let you know how that goes. Also, I am going to use the barrel tensioner kit and see how that goes., I have the barrel clamp already, I might shoot it a few more times without the tensioner kit.

You are going to love shooting the Ghost. It is such a nice gun and very smooth! Did you get the extended ARCA rail? If not, I suggest you get that.

Are you using sub12? Because when I set My reg at 120, pw 2 with red spring. I am shooting 25.39gr jsb, 920 FPS With 600mm factory barrel.
I am still debating getting slug barrel or not.. are they really good?

Like I said, I was going to hold off, but I think I am going to order one, and that barrel will look good on my Silver Ghost!
Lol, yeah I just got off the phone with AOA. I am now on the list for the .22 cal SUBMOA barrel. He would expect it to be avaliable in more than 6 weeks and less than 6 months... But putting my name on the list didn't cost anything. They are a little pricey at $539 but still far cheaper than a whole new gun.

I think I am going to look at Blueing the barrel when it gets here as he mentioned that they are raw steel with a coating of silicone grease.

No on the

No on the sub12, and so far I have been happy with the Slug barrel. Still, per AoA, they suggest shooting 40 grain slugs, I am shooting Franco's Slugs, and you have to use the single shot loader, I then tried his 38 grain slugs and they fit in the mags and work very well to, I just need to find the proper reg and PW number plus the spring to get them dialed in better. We were running 165 on the reg and PW on Max. 40 grain, achieving 861.9 FPS and 66 FT-LB. The 38-grain slug yielded 885.3 FPS and 66.1 FT-LB. The plan is to try some other slugs for comparison.

When I had the barrel completely out to clean it, I wiped it down entirely and put a very light coat of Ballistol on it. That was just mostly to get it to go back easier into the barrel channel when I reinstalled the barrel.
Does it have a protective coating to stop from rusting? I really like the color, but I was someone painted theirs and someone had it blued.

I don't believe it has any type of coating on it, none that I can see any way.
I asked Darren at AOA, he said that it is just steel (not stainless) it comes with a coating of silicone grease, but that it would need to be oiled/etc. To be maintained.

I am debating between bluing or painting mine once I get it.

I did see pics of one that had been painted black and it looked good.

I would like to have a clear coat on it, as it will look good with my Silver Ghost; if not, I will have to get it blued.

Stainless would be super cool!

so how are the Huben GK1 made, why do some shoot crossman and others they have a hard time finding a pellet?
I understand that you are saying about rifling.. but seems like from everything I have read and heard that the GK1 has major differences.. like a lot more than 217vs 2175..
also I don't know how the magazine is made, maybe it's cast? but I'd think it would be CNC machined..I suppose that's what I was referring to mostly before when I said CNC machine.
you are one of the members I remember the name and that you know what you talk about..I appreciate it..
I've been wanting a GK1 in 22 caliber and it's very hard for me to get that much money together.. I just really don't want to get it and then have trouble with it or being pellet picky and jamming at the price point..
if I manage to buy one it will be from Kelly at Krazy cool airguns
