BRK Ghost with slug barrel.

Yes I also do gave FX pocket chronograph V2 To check a FPS. I see how you control first shot by using PW higher.
so you are saying that you bought a another ghost with slug barrel with it.($100 extra)
just curious, why not just buy slug barrel & swap? That’s what I’m going to do but slug barrel cost way too much($600+)
When you get a ghost with slug barrel, could you please update a result? I really want to know that slug barrel is worth it to buy with that price.

Thank you!
I have always wanted a dedicated pellet shooter and a dedicated slug shooter as well, that is why I bought the second Ghost.

I got my .22 slug barrel two weeks ago and it shoots really good, I have been using the JSB short skirt redesign 25.39gn pellets, I have slugs coming that AOA recommended. Also have the Barrel Tensioner kit but have not got that setup yet. Really happy with the new barrel, now I am waiting for the .25 Cal SUB MOA barrel to come out soon, I hope!

so how are the Huben GK1 made, why do some shoot crossman and others they have a hard time finding a pellet?
I understand that you are saying about rifling.. but seems like from everything I have read and heard that the GK1 has major differences.. like a lot more than 217vs 2175..
also I don't know how the magazine is made, maybe it's cast? but I'd think it would be CNC machined..I suppose that's what I was referring to mostly before when I said CNC machine.
you are one of the members I remember the name and that you know what you talk about..I appreciate it..
I've been wanting a GK1 in 22 caliber and it's very hard for me to get that much money together.. I just really don't want to get it and then have trouble with it or being pellet picky and jamming at the price point..
if I manage to buy one it will be from Kelly at Krazy cool airguns
Mark
The best thing for you to do is to order from Kelly and request he put a 2018 magazine if he has one or ask if he has one before you buy. Even so you won't be able to shoot .217-.218 sized slugs/ammo.

According to AOA the slugs they recommended will not be available until next month, but I have several different slugs on hand that I will be trying in the meantime. My new Ghost should be here this week, and I am like a kid at Christmas. Did I read your post correctly that your new slug barrel shoots the JSB redesigned 25.39 shallows really good?

Yes, the short-skirt ones shoot well ( JSB Exact Monster .22 Redesigned SHALLOW Skirt). My reg is at 160 (factory setting on mine), and the power wheel is on 5. I'm shooting 864 FPS with 42.2 FT-LB. Next week, I will start shooting the "ZAN Projectiles." AOA suggests I start with .217 25.5 gr Hollow Point slugs. I will let you know how that goes. Also, I am going to use the barrel tensioner kit and see how that goes., I have the barrel clamp already, I might shoot it a few more times without the tensioner kit.

You are going to love shooting the Ghost. It is such a nice gun and very smooth! Did you get the extended ARCA rail? If not, I suggest you get that.

I have had my current .22 cal. Ghost HP for almost a year now and it has been awesome. I have had several PCP's over the years by far the Ghost has been my favorite. I was really glad to hear BRK came out with a slug barrel for the Ghost and ordered a complete gun just to shoot slugs (hopefully) out of it. I would not think of parting with my first Ghost. I have the short Saber Tactical ARCA rail, and my BOG Sherpa tripod fits it perfectly. I actually made my farthest shot with it this morning on a pigeon at a lasered 102yds. on a very tall silo. I saw my first shot went a little high, but my second shot hit him in the chest and down he came.
Here is a 3 shot group I shot with it last Sept. (If I can get it to post that is)

Both are nice groups! I have shot some nice, tight groups with the .25-cal barrel. I also have a Sniper XR HP that AOA did the power tune on, and it shoots really well! just waiting for a SUB-MOA barrel to come out in .25-Cal.

Thanks, the top is a 3 shot group and the bottom is only a single shot to verify my zero. I have noticed the barrel does not group that well when it's dirty. I rarely let it go over 100 rounds between cleaning and since I am mostly a hunter that is not that much of a problem for me. When I do shoot it on paper to verify my zero and see an occasional round go out of the group, I know it's time to clean the barrel and that has always brought the accuracy back.

Hi,
Talon tunes? can you explain more about it? Do they make slug barrel for ghost?
Thanks
TT sells CZ unchoke 700mm for the taipan 2 but with the help of a machinists they could be fit to the Ghost.. you will only need to machine the rear and ad a moderator..these have the cleanest most uniform bore I have seen from a factory barrel.. these 2 will go on my AF condors .
