Break in period for Hatsan Vectis??

Hey all I’m new to the PCP world purchased a Hatsan Vectis and I’m wondering if there is a break in period like on a break barrel? On the two Gamo rifles I have they said to shoot 300-400 rounds through it to break the barrel in before really getting your zero, and I didn’t know if it was the same for PCP’s

A very good cleaning will help speed up the settling process. Shoot the hell out of it for a while before you worry too much about pin point accuracy and pellet selections.



How do you like the gun so far?

I shot a few cleaning pellets through it but I haven’t really figured out how to clean the barrel since when cleaning barrels your are only supposed to go one direction, and with the cleaning supplies I have I would have to shove a bore patch/ bore mop in the end and run it through to the chamber then pull it through again. I think I’ve put about 200-250 rounds through it, I mean it’s shooting absolutely amazing compared to my break barrels with the jsb 18.1, I got about an inch group at 50yds so I’m not complaining. I was just curious about the break in period.

Get a piece of weed whacker line and a patch soaked in solvent. Pull from breach to crown. The line is soft enough to go in the breach and make the corner into the chamber. There are many videos on line. Patch worm is the name of one system.

So I tried the homemade worm patch and it worked beautifully!! I didn’t have any solution to soak the pads with but after about 20 patches it’s almost clean, thanks for the advice!!
