Break barrel safety reset?

Hey folks,
I’ve owned a few good airguns. Something I’ve noticed is some break barrels need a little more force to reset safety. Is this a sign that it needs a cleaning internally? Piston engages as should. Just have to apply a little more force until safety clicks on. It’s not a problem just a question. Shooting my HW30 with iron sight’s today.

Nah the piston latches first then the safety. It how it's designed. If it makes you feel better you can put a drop of gun oil on the safety shaft. Some are just stickier than others. They often loosen up with use.

Put 1000 pellets through it and it will be smooth as butter.
