I have a bobcat .25 how can I tell for sure when the breach O 'ring needs replaced ? I have shot 10000 or more pellets through it , dose anyone have experience replacing one ?
On my bobcat, fx has lock tight the barrel threaded end onto the end of the shroud... I don't want to mess with heating that and risk messing with were everything is, barrel position , harmonics or such ... This gun shoots one hole at 50 all day.. Is it possible to do it through the area were the mag is fed ? I do have a bent scribe similar to what was in the video ?"sniperlabyo"After inserting a pellet in the barrel Remove mag and fire in s pellet trap, If you don't notic a light puff of air on your Cheek or a light tissue laying over the mag opening----> oring is fine.
if oring need replacing:
Best to remove barrel to replace oring.
this video is one meathd and there are many ways to install the oring. If you use a metal oring pick---don't use the sharp point on the video I use only the smooth part of the pick.
other way is to use a Dow wood rod down the barrel resting in front of the oring groove to prevent the oring from wandering away from the oring groove while trying to maneuver the oring in place.
I use napal or speed oil to lube the o'ring in the breach."spysir"At your shot count, replace it even though it may still work, it will be getting tired soon.
One drop of something like 20wt ( pure ) silicone oil every 500 shots is what crosman recommends , might be a good idea.
