Brand new to airguns, clueless on what sight to put on Daisy Powerline Model 100

From what I could gather, I think I am looking for a dovetail mounted scope.. I just don't know which scope will actually fit the gun itself. I've researched the model just a bit, and I think the size of the dovetail is 3x9 (I apologize if that is absolutely incorrect terminology. Like I said, I'm brand new to guns.) It is a break-action barrel, and when I bought it from my friend it did not have a scope on it. I have tried to find the factory scope it comes with just to get the right size, but I think it is too old now and it is just not manufactured any more perhaps? Anyway, I was just hoping anyone could help me find a scope for this cool gun.

Is the gun you bought a pistol or rifle? I asked that question based on the fact that I cannot find any Daisy break barrel rifles in that model.

The 3x9 you referenced most likely refers to scope magnification of 3 to 9 times...

"Dovetail" in guns refers to the type of rail the gun has for mounting the scope -- and consequently, scope mounts required:

Here is your rifle with scope mounted at airgun depot. I would give them a call and ask for a scope and rings that will fit this rifle. They should be able to provide everything you need. They will be a little more expensive than Amazon but they do not charge sales tax on anything outside of Utah.
