My JB Bancato Alpha filter does not allow air frrom the compressor to flow through. Installed new cartridge, checked o rings and purge valve . Placed a dead head in the compressor hose and it very quickly reached 250 BAR however upon removal of the dead head and connecting the tank fill hose the filter will not register any pressures above 100 BAR and will not allow any air to frow through the filter and exit through the top to fill the air tank. Any ideas about the cause for this frustrating situation?

It does have a pressure maintaining valve, which I believe is set to allow air flow after reaching 1,800PSI or so.
Once done filling your tank, only use the bleeder that is on the filter, if you bleed through your tank bleed valve, you will damage the pressure maintaining valve and need to replace.
