Boyd's stock for Marauder

I have a .22 Marauder that I have not shot in quite a while. It shoots well above its price point, but is just not a thrilling gun to shoot, a bit "blah" with the black stock.

Thinking about a Boyds stock for it. Anyone have one on theirs? Comments? Worth the money? Price mine out with the options I want and it is about 270 bucks. Seems like an expensive upgrade for a Marauder, but the damn gun shoots like a 1300 dollar gun. Thanks! Randy------------------

Definitely a good choice. I have a Boyd’s thumbhole laminate on my modified armada. Much lighter than you think and perfect ergonomics ( for me).

its worth the money and makes it feel like a much higher end gun ... what i can tell you is boyds stocks are designed for firearms which will put the comb lower on a pcp because of the airtube .. it will put the cheekweld lower on the jaw instead of high on the cheek with any standard 'formed in' comb .. not a deal breaker ti me anyway .. just something to be aware of.

I think the only one with the adjustable comb option is the Pro-Varmint. I have one with adj comb, and nice looking, but weighs like the original oem wood stock. A little better ergonomics.

Take a look at the new crosman Turkish walnut stocks for the Mrod. They are a little lighter than the original wood, and slimmer, more like the syn stock. They have a wood adjustable comb riser, They are around $100. Good wood grain patterns is a roll of the dice and the finish is not as nice as Boyd's, but many refinish to their liking. Just something to consider if the $300 Boyds is too tough to swallow.

I have three.

On the .177 (Red)a Boyd’s Blaster that was fixed with a Brownell’s lift kit.

On the .22 (blue)a Boyds Varmint Stock with their lift kit.

On the .25 (salt/pepper) a Boyd’s Blaster..

First off, beautiful collection of rifles!!

Boyd’s doesn’t offer the blaster for the mrods correct? Did you inlet your own or is there a guy who does it?
