Bow Seasons over - Bumble Bee season has started

Tis' the season to play "shoot the bumble bee's outta my Redbud blossoms". This is payback for all the little bastards that stung me as a kid!

It is fun to hear them "pop" when that 0.25 caliber pellet hits them!

This afternoon has been a target rich environment. You know, you gotta be creative during this social distancing period!

Popping them might be harmful to your redbud trees and any other plants in your area that need the # 1 pollinator in the world (bees) in order to thrive.

I love to put a little sweet'um on a white paper. Flies, wasps, etc. Great fun. I usually leave the bees alone.

Ha! Payback payback! Those stings hurt something fierce! That pop sound must keep you smiling .

Redbud trees are actually a problem on my farm. And as far as saving the bee's, I've got 60 hives scattered all over the farm. No matter how much distance I give them, they seek me out and sting me. So, nothing you can say will make me feel too bad about a little payback!!

I think the only bee's I would shoot are carpenter bee's.

I don't shoot bumble or honey bees, but i shoot the fire out of those dang woodboring bees!!

Yup it's a pretty rough life we have to live in the first world for sure and hunting them nasty Bumbly bees is just one of the jobs that needs doin. ;^) Great fun! I got me a yellow jacket at 50 yards out at the range last year. He just happened to land on the target I was doing my sighting in on. His legs were still hanging but the rest was gone. Made me smile for sure. Keep up the good werq.

Yellow jackets and wasps. Have not heard what their productive task is. So they die.



Maybe your bees know you are killing them even though you raise them? They can smell your scent from the pellet? So, they are trying to pay you back for paying them back.

I hang a paper plate with jelly smeared on it for fly shooting . A hit leaves a little red circle around the hole .

A couple years ago I spotted a bald faced hornet nest high in a tree. It was about 75 yards away and you could shoot a group in it and the next day they would have it repaired for the next group. But I think I broke the core because it blew down later.
