A buddy of mine on the Facebook air gun groups wanted to sell me 2 vintage Daisy's. He said they needed my touch and were basically in good shape. Just needed a lil TLC. Never got pics of'em, no description. And since the ID thief got me the beginning of last November, no Paypal etc either. So, I decided to take a chance and mail a MO to Utah for $75 and waited. The first is a Daisy Eagle model 98, with a date code at the beginning of the serial number of, " L091". Denoting a build date of November 9, 1961! Missing the vertical butt stock screw and horizontal mount nut. But shoots strong. Nice vintage rifle with the fancy Euro-style fore stock. It also has the bronze sling swivel on the butt stock & swivel mount in front of the fore stock. The next is a Red Rider Carbine NO111 model 40. With plastic stocks and aluminum lever, it was built 1953-54. Looks like receiver screws missing, and trigger is disconnected. But serviceable. Need to find/build a floor rack for them. They'll go nicely with the Daisy model 104 I also have.
