Bought something that's not in the mail

I bought something and I used PP and it was sent priority mail, The Tracking number says it should have been at my door Feb 21st, I check Tracking and its says in Transit and it stops Feb 21st,,,,

Email the seller and , Am told do not worry about it , It takes six weeks sometimes to cross the US.

What steps would you take?

Hope to god the package didnt get mangled in a sorting facility like a couple of mine have. One (containing an FX barrel) arrived empty and nearly destroyed. The new postmaster, who coincidentally lives in my city threw a wrench in the works. I've never seen or heard of this poor of service from the USPS

Well these days... USPS can take six weeks to get your package across the USA... One vendor's chief of ops who should (but will not) be named actually used that fact to "punish" me when I complained to her office. Complaining about them here is counterproductive.

I would give it a few days, I just had something that was supposed to be here days ago, tracking stoped with running late, in transit, checked again today and it was delivered today, 4 days late

I just received a bow today that was single boxed and both ends of the box were wide open. Nearly dropped a log. The bow was in there and fine. Stood on my porch with it in my hand in stunned belief. Shipping is an exciting new hobby.

I had a gun coming from PyramydAir the end of January (this year). Was supposed to be delivered on "XX" day. The shipping number said that it was delivered on the day that it was supposed to be at my house. A waited a couple more days, nuthin. I called Pyramyd to find out what they recommended I do.

As...I was talking to a guy at Pyramyd, I hear a truck pull up to my house. I got up and looked, sure enough, a package from PyramydAir, about a week late.

Same here, 2 packages more than a week late, marked "in transit". 

I overnighted a box to a customer via FedEx last week, going ~200 miles within the state of Florida, took 3 days to arrive.

Go to the USPS tracking page.

Copy the tracking #

Go to the FAQ link

Follow the "Where's my package" and click the "email request".

You have to fill out a bunch of information about the package but then the Post Master at the delivering facility will get an email to "investigate" the package. Most times, if you get a good one, they will makes a few calls and get your package rolling again. Some will even email you back and/or I even had one personally call me.

Not sure why ppl think estimate date is when they are getting it. Its only a estimate date. Due to covid, shipping is way worst than it ever was. Lots of items say delivery date is this. And when the date come item is stuck somewhere and stay there not moving for days, even weeks. It's common. Just be patient. Don't count of estimate date especially with covid.

@airgunmike56 Maybe go down to the post office and see if they can give you some more details than you can find online. With a package I had it helped, not much, however, at least I knew where my package was, but it still took 3 months to get from California to the Netherlands.

I'm not sure why "COVID" is a good excuse for poor postal service. Can you explain it to me?

Been there, lived it,currently living it again, dejavue. There's nothing more maddening than to have a pile of parts to assemble a new set up. The package is sitting at your local facility for days then you get the update that it ha departed, intransit to the next facility going away from you. I've received orchids in the mail no problem. I realise that the weather has thrown a wrench in the works. The problem has been exacerbated by the guiding hand of Mr. DeJoy.

Try being the person shipped stuff. I had a fellow thought I owned the post office. The package made it halfway now it sits. FedEx or ups seems to be the way to go anymore.

Nothing you can do but wait...

This seems to happen on every USPS package I receive anymore, Priority or not. Packages go days without updates all the time now.
